What's New
Everything we have shipped since launch — the desktop app, and the data feed behind it. Desktop updates install automatically through the in-app updater, free with your subscription.
The feed, straight into your own systems
The same millisecond feed the desktop app runs on, as a raw WebSocket stream. For desks that already have their own execution.
- Every release, every sourceOne stream, the full catalogue: BLS, BEA, EIA, DOL, USDA and UMich.
- Scraped, not resoldThe numbers come from the source itself, not resold from another feed.
- Measure your own latencyServer-time and ping endpoints track your clock offset and round trip.
- Start from working codeComplete clients in Python, Go, C++ and JavaScript, reconnect loop included.
- Issued directly to youAccess is by arrangement. Your own key, your own connections.
Desktop app releases
Current version: 1.6.1A sharper logo
The app now carries the same MacroPulse mark as the website, drawn as a vector so it stays sharp however far you zoom in.
- The new mark, everywhereThe sign-in screen and the main window header both show the full MacroPulse logo, matching the website exactly. Nothing about how the app works has changed.
- Sharp at any zoomThe logo is now drawn fresh at whatever size it appears, so it stays crisp when you scale the interface up rather than going soft at the edges.
PCE and GDP join the feed
Two of the biggest numbers in the calendar are now covered: the inflation measure the Fed watches most closely, and the headline growth figure. Both land on the desktop app and the data feed.
- Core PCENewThe inflation number the Fed pays most attention to. You get six figures from the one release — PCE and Core PCE, monthly and annual, plus personal income and consumer spending — and they all arrive together.
- GDP, all three readingsEvery quarter's growth figure is published three times as it gets revised: a first estimate, a second, and a final. Each one reaches you as its own event, on its own date.
- A sixth sourceThese come from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, joining the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the EIA, the Labor Department, the USDA and the University of Michigan. Scraped straight from the source, like everything else.
- Stays quick on a busy computerImprovedMacroPulse now asks Windows and macOS to treat it as a priority, so other programs running at the same time cannot slow it down at the moment data lands. Nothing to turn on, no admin password, and your power and sleep settings are left exactly as they were.
Runs on Windows Server
MacroPulse now runs on Windows Server and Remote Desktop machines with no graphics card, and the app fits itself to whatever screen it's on.
- Windows Server 2016 and 2019 supportNewServer and Remote Desktop machines without GPU graphics previously launched to a blank screen. The installer now checks the machine's graphics capability and switches on a built-in software renderer when there's no hardware support — no settings, no separate download.
- Fits your screenImprovedOn smaller displays the app scales its layout down so every column is visible and the window never opens larger than the screen. You can also resize the window smaller than before — the events table scrolls sideways when space runs out.
A clean board each morning
Your triggers now clear overnight, and finished ones stay out of the way of the ones still running.
- Triggers clear overnightImprovedYour board resets at midnight instead of trailing a rolling 24 hours, so every session starts with today's events and nothing else. Yesterday's rows clear within seconds of opening the app.
- Finished triggers move asideExecuted and skipped triggers now sit below the ones still waiting, instead of above them. Today's results stay on the board as a record until midnight — just no longer in front of the trigger you're watching.
Read the market at a glance
The events table now colour-codes beats, misses and impact as data lands.
- Instant beats and missesNew featureThe Deviation column shows the size of the surprise, green for a beat, red for a miss.
- Impact at a glanceHigh-impact events in red, medium in amber, low in green.
- Health dotsLive status dots on the connection and clock readouts: green healthy, amber connecting, red needs attention.
- Straight to your journalRight-click any event to copy the full row, with or without headers. Pastes straight into Excel or Google Sheets.
Smarter triggers, bulletproof timing
Two completely new trigger types.
- AND triggersNew trigger typeCombine conditions across releases that drop together. The click fires only when every condition is met: buy only if crude draws AND gasoline draws.
- SUM triggersNew trigger typeOne threshold against the combined figure of related releases, like total petroleum inventories across crude, gasoline and distillates.
- Trade any surpriseThe new Not-Equals condition fires on any deviation from forecast, in either direction.
You set the terms
Control over when the click fires.
- Fade the spikeNew featureFire up to 60 seconds after the release instead of instantly, precise to a tenth of a second. Built to trade the fade.
- Your screen, your sizeZoom the whole interface from 50% to 150% with Cmd/Ctrl +/-.
- World clocksAMER, EMEA and APAC clocks in the footer.
See everything
Live latency, trigger countdowns and desktop alerts.
- Know your speedNew featureA live latency to MacroPulse servers in the footer, and every number stamped with its arrival time to the millisecond.
- Live countdownsEvery armed trigger counts down in seconds to its event in real time.
- Nothing fails silentlyIf your trading platform closes or its window moves before an event, the trigger flags red with a desktop alert.
